AITF

The Association of Territorial Engineers and Chief Engineers of France (AITF) brings together Category A and A+ professionals (tenured staff, trainees, and contract workers) from the technical stream of the territorial civil service—whether currently active, on secondment, on leave of absence, on parental leave, or retired. With decades of commitment behind it, the AITF constitutes the largest network for the exchange of technical and managerial expertise within local authorities and provides its 3,500 members with tailored legal protection. Our missions: To represent territorial engineers and chief engineers before institutions, partners, and public-sector stakeholders. To support members' professional development through training courses, symposiums, and events. To foster networking by providing forums for professionals to exchange ideas and share experiences via its 20 working groups and 14 regional sections. To provide information on technical, regulatory, and institutional developments relevant to the field of territorial engineering. Our activities: Each year, the AITF co-organizes the *Rencontres Nationales de l’Ingénierie Territoriale* (National Territorial Engineering Conference) with the CNFPT; this key event attracts nearly 1,000 participants. The AITF organizes numerous events throughout the year, including conferences, regional gatherings, and webinars. A dedicated commission—'Carrière, Attractivité et Ressources Humaines' (Career, Attractiveness, and Human Resources, or Com’CARH)—monitors issues related to the civil service, management, employment status, and compensation schemes, while answering members' questions through its regional representatives. A Seniors’ Committee—comprising Engineers and Chief Engineers from all branches of the Association—has been established to leverage their professional experience for the benefit of young professionals and those nearing retirement, acting through representatives from the regional sections.
