Ensuring independent and reliable access to space for Europe, we are the prime contractor for the European Ariane family of launch vehicles and the missiles for France’s oceanic deterrence force. Our activities span the entire lifecycle of a space launcher: design, development, production, operation, and commercialization (via our subsidiary Arianespace). Following the success of Ariane 5—the most reliable launcher on the commercial market—we successfully launched the first Ariane 6 from our Kourou site on July 9, 2024. Two commercial flights have taken place since then. Together with its subsidiaries, the Group also leverages its expertise to benefit other sectors—including equipment, services, space surveillance, and critical infrastructure—and is developing a reusable micro-launcher. Our 8,300 employees across 14 sites in France and Germany are united by a shared passion: pioneering Europe’s path to space for the well-being of all citizens in a secure world.
